Shahrukh Khan was born on 2 November 1965 (age 54 years; as in 2019) in New Delhi. When he was born, he was named Abdul Rehman by his maternal grandmother, but his father changed it to Shah Rukh.He did his schooling at the St. Columba’s School in Delhi.He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Hansraj College, University of Delhi. He is also a post graduate in Mass Communications (Filmmaking) from the Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi.

- Shah Rukh Khan was born in a mediocre family; as his father ran a transport company and mother was a magistrate.
- At his birth, he was named Abdul Rehman by his maternal grandmother; however, his father named him Shah Rukh Khan.
- His family used to live in rental houses. Initially, they lived in a bungalow in Rajinder Nagar’s F Block. Later, when Shah Rukh was 15, they shifted to Gautam Nagar.
- During an interview, Shah Rukh Khan told that his mother was a South-Indian and belonged to Andhra Pradesh but later moved to Karnataka.
