Ayushmann Khurrana was born as Nishant Khurrana but later his father changed his name to Ayushman Khurana when he was three. Ayushmann was a bright student at school; he was a great performer as well and always wanted to be an actor. He drew his inspiration from his grandmother, who used to mimic Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar

- At the age of 4, when he watched Madhuri Dixit‘s ‘Tezaab’ (1988) at a theatre, he decided to become an actor.
- His mother is of half-Burmese descent.
