Sunny Malik : Lesser known facts
- Sunny was born and brought up in Bathinda.
- Since his childhood, he was fond of singing, and he used to actively participate in the cultural programs of his school. He also used to perform at various cultural events in his village.
- In 2014, his father died in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla.
- After his father’s demise, all the responsibilities of his family came on his shoulders and he had to quit his studies and started working as a boot polisher.
- In the same year, he sang ‘Akhiyan De Buhe,’ which was released by TMC Punjabi.
- In 2019, Sunny participated in one of India’s most popular singing reality show, “Indian Idol Season 11.” In the show, he earned laurels from the judges for singing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s song- “Afreen Afreen.”
